LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES

The Absolute Legion / The Legion of Darkseid

The "DC K.O." Event"

From DC All In Special (Dec. 2024); by Mark Waid and Dan Mora.

» FIRST APPEARANCE: DC All In Special (Dec. 2024)

The Legion of Darkseid is effectively the Absolute Legion, borne of the same universe created by Darkseid with supreme Omega energy. While Darkseid's influence in the 31st century was total, sway over the heroes of his 21st century (the Absolute Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman) eluded him.

Editorial comment confirms this. First saying, "These 'imposters' [the Absolute Trinity] hail from the Absolute Earth, where Darkseid is King, his essence infused into ever atom, every cell." Then, a discussion between Darkseid and Saturn Girl verifies that the Legion's is the same world, "the walls between our world's timelines are strong." (DC K.O. #4)

The makeup of this group heavily mirrored the classic Silver Age Legion membership (through Timber Wolf). Kid Quantum and XS were added while Matter-Eater Lad, Lightning Lass and Chemical King never appeared.

Most of this Legion's members first appeared collectively in a splash page at the end of DC All In Special (Dec. 2024). A few others appeared after that.
